When we stop and think, it gives us time to assess the situation. In our state of impulsiveness, we sometimes feel like we have only one choice, ATTACK. The reality is when we stop and thing we have more choices.

In just 5 seconds we can decide consciously whether we want to AVOID, APPROACH, or ATTACK. The 3 A’s gives everyone choices after we force ourselves to Stop and Think. Keep practicing this method, it will get better.

We see these things on a daily basis, situations that have escalated into something horrific. The change can start with us if we attempt to think before we act. It is certainly not easy by a long shot, but with practice anything can become perfection.
